Abba Jane Barnett Trimble

Abba Jane Barnett Trimble, born on June 6, 1939, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2024, at the age of 85. She lived a life full of love, devotion, and unwavering faith. Abba Jane was a woman who deeply cherished her family and friends. Her love for people was evident in every interaction, and she found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a genuine passion for cooking and could often be found leafing through her extensive collection of recipe books, always eager to try a new dish or perfect an old favorite. Music was another source of happiness for Abba Jane. She loved singing and was known for her melodious voice that brought warmth and comfort to those around her. Her faith was an integral part of her life, and she was a devoted member of Liberty Baptist Church in Fayetteville since 1971. Her church community was like a second family to her, and she found strength and solace in her faith. Abba Jane is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Tyndol Jackson Barnett and Snowdell Hogan Barnett, as well as her dear husband, John Ross Trimble; also preceding her is a granddaughter Lindsey Baker. She leaves behind a loving legacy through her surviving family: daughters Melanie Miller (Larry), Joan "Joni" Johnstone (Daymon), and Janet Vines (Jeff); grandchildren Lauren Haller (Eric), Erin Lockwood (John), John Miller (JennyLynn), Joshua Miller (Natalie), Matthew Miller (Tiffany), Benjamin Miller (Christine), Abby Johnstone, Brik Johnstone (Alyssa), Brandon Vines (Ashley), Jessica Hunter (Jimmy), and Kathryn Vines (Gleb); and 19 great-grandchildren who will carry her spirit forward. She is also survived by her sisters, June West and Julie Byrom (Perry). Funeral services to celebrate Abba Jane’s life will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at 3 o'clock at Liberty Baptist Church, 1077 GA-314, Fayetteville, GA 30214. Dr. Randy Wood and Pastor James Oney will officiate the service. There will be no graveside service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Liberty Baptist Church, "Note The Legacy Fund on the memo line" 1077 GA-314, Fayetteville, GA 30214. Abba Jane Barnett Trimble's life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and generosity. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on through the many lives she touched.
