Annie Louise Sheets

Annie Louise Sheets, born on February 6, 1945, in Fairburn, Georgia, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026, in Fayetteville, Georgia, at the age of 81. Throughout her life, Louise was known for her boundless generosity and kindness. She worked tirelessly in the Clayton County School Systems, where she dedicated herself to ensuring that every child who entered the cafeteria left with a full stomach and a warm heart. Her unwavering commitment to the well-being of children left a lasting impact on all those she served. A faithful member of Oliver Grove Baptist Church and Harvest Baptist Tabernacle for over fifty years, Louise's faith was a guiding light throughout her life. She cherished the fellowship and spiritual growth she found within her church communities. Family and friends were the center of Louise's world. She loved spending quality time with her loved ones, creating memories that they will forever hold dear. An avid reader, she found joy and solace in books, allowing her imagination to take flight in their pages. Louise also had a unique passion for watching wrestling, often with the television volume turned up high, bringing her excitement and entertainment. Preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Virginia Bartlett; her first husband, Gerald Sheets; her second husband, Art Neill; her son, Kerry Sheets; and her brothers, Roy Bartlett Jr. and James Bartlett, Louise leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience. She leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory: her daughters, Tina (Scott) Odom and Toshia (Mark) Thomas; her son, Bobby (Rebecca) Sheets; her sisters, Betty Jean (Tommy) Sills and Mary Frances (Floyd) Brooks; and her brothers, Frankie Bartlett, Johnny (Pam) Bartlett, and Doug (Cindy) Bartlett. She was a proud grandmother to Cherish Odom, Josh (Katie) Odom, Pepper (Jeffrey) Adams, Blazer (Christie) Sheets, Isaac Sheets, Kerry (Shunta') Sheets, Skylar Sheets, Michelle (Scott) Woodby, Jason Brooks, Jazmine Peale, and Hannah Peale. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Tanner Heard, Tyler Odom, Nathan Wheeler, Leah Wheeler, Meadow Sheets, Memphis Sheets, Jeffrey Adams Jr., and Hinton Woodby. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly. Louise's home was always open, and she never met a stranger. Her welcoming spirit made everyone feel like family, and she changed the lives of those fortunate enough to cross her path. Her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. As we remember her life, we celebrate the indelible mark she left on our hearts.
