Deborah Wade Croker

Deborah Croker, age 64, of Palmetto, Georgia joined her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 3, 2014. Deborah was born July 20, 1950, daughter of Edward and Billie Wade. She married Ray Croker on May 31, 1968 and remained a faithful wife, mother and grandmother for almost 46 ½ years. Deborah, a devout and faithful Christian was a servant to her Father in heaven and to those she served on earth. She faithfully and dutifully fulfilled her calling by tending to countless family members and friends, co-workers and colleagues. She was the epitome of the Golden Rule and for those of her who knew her best, Deborah was a trusted confidant, advisor and most importantly spiritual guider. For nearly 32 years, Deborah worked for The Paradies Shops where she served as supervisor receptionist. During her tenure, Deborah became known as the face of the organization, greeting each and every in-person visitor and telephone caller with enthusiasm and welcoming grace. She received countless compliments and accolades from the company and was known for her enthusiasm, dedication and ability to instantly make each and every person she greeted feel welcome and at home. After raising her family, Deborah took on the role as primary care giver for her grandsons Tyler and Trent. She assumed the role as parental guardian and provided for each without hesitation; to them she was simply Nana and to others she was a selfless heroine and role model for putting others before herself. Deborah will forever be remembered for her charming wit, graceful nature and flair for turning strangers into friends. Although we will miss her earthly presence, we know by faith that Deborah has been summoned to a higher calling. We look forward to seeing her as we cross the threshold of life and partake in the inheritance we know she is now receiving. Deborah is survived by her husband, Ray Croker of Palmetto; sons, Lanny Ray Croker, Jr. of Palmetto; Clinton Wade Croker of Newnan; mother, Billie Wade of Palmetto; sisters, Donna Wade Mathis and her husband Barry of Tyrone; Lisa Wade Dalton of Newnan; brothers, Edward Wade, Jr. and his wife Debbie of Sharpsburg; William Michael Wade and his wife Phyllis of Sharpsburg; grandchildren, Tyler Ray Croker, Casey Ryan Croker, Trenton Lanny Croker, Callie Nicole Croker; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 7, 2014 at 1 o’clock at the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home with Minister Keith Davenport officiating. Interment to follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park.
