Efrain M. Garcia Vega

Mr. Efrain M Garcia Vega, age 68, of Senoia, passed away August 22, 2021. He is survived by his wife, Virginia “Jenny” Routon Garcia; sons, Matt Garcia and his wife, Becky of Senoia, A.J. Garcia and his wife, Amy of Bowden; brothers, Hector Garcia and his wife, Chiqui; Roberto Garcia; grandchildren, Zach, Eli, Henry, Emma, Michael, Carmen, Isabella, Eden, and Cristian. Efrain was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico, and raised in Utuado, Puerto Rico. At the age of 18 he attended Mercer University in Macon, GA where he met his wife, Jenny. They were married in January 1976 and recently celebrated their 45th anniversary. He spent 10 years working for Eastern Airlines, and then spent 27 years as a devoted Spanish teacher at Fayette County High School in Fayetteville, GA. Efrain served on the deacon board at New Beginning Baptist Church faithfully. He was passionate about Jesus, his family, this country, and teaching. His love for people was evident by the impact he had on their lives. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at New Beginning Baptist Church in Senoia, GA. The family will receive visitors from 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM in the church sanctuary. The memorial service will follow at 12:45 PM. He loved God and the people of his church, New Beginning Baptist Church, dearly. We are setting up a scholarship fund through NBBC for youth from the church who pursue a degree beyond high school.
