Giada Rosemary "Rosemary" Wood, a radiant spirit who brought joy and love to all those around her, passed away on January 28, 2025, in Atlanta, GA. Born on November 30, 2017, in Greenville, SC, Rosemary was just 7 years old. Despite her tender years, she touched countless hearts and left an indelible mark on everyone she met. Rosemary had a vibrant passion for dance and cheerleading, always bringing energy and enthusiasm to every routine. Her cherished dolls were her constant companions, each one holding a special place in her heart. She was known for being the light in every room, brightening the lives of family and friends with her infectious laughter and playful humor. Her strength was remarkable, as she never complained even during her times of illness. Rosemary maintained a great outlook on life, approaching each day with a loving, peaceful, and calm spirit. Her warmth and kindness were felt by all, and her sense of humor made her a joy to be around. She loved her friends dearly and treasured her time at Kipp Woodson Park Academy in Atlanta, where she was a beloved first grader. Rosemary held a special affection for her teachers, principal, nurses, and school peers, creating lasting bonds that will be remembered fondly. Rosemary's memory lives on in the hearts of her surviving family: her devoted parents, Gerry Lee Wood, II, and Danyell Curtis; her adoring grandparents, Tannie Frances Fletcher, Gerry Wood, Sr., and Antionette Edmonds; and her loving great-grandparents, Dorothy Cauthen and Terry Cauthen. She is also survived by her sisters, Tayler Robinson and Julia Wood, and her brothers, Jaylen Cross, Gerry Cross, Tyler Robinson, and Gerry "Trey" Wood, III. Her aunts Jackie Wood, Jada Peace, and Bonita Wood, uncle Eddie Avant, and great aunts and uncles Essie Hogue, Charles Deese, Leonard Deese, Jacqueline Fletcher, Joyce Johnson, Rosemary Fletcher, Sarah Dalton, Elaine Phillips, and Archie Fletcher, along with several cousins and extended family, will forever cherish her memory. Services to celebrate Rosemary's life will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 4 o'clock in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home, with Pastor Chris Williams officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Parrott Funeral Home & Crematory, 770-964-4800. Though her time with us was short, Rosemary's impact was profound, and her loving spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her.
