Gloria Lane Freeman

Gloria Lane Freeman, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed peacefully from this life on April 24, 2026, at the age of 91 in Douglasville, Georgia. Born on March 28, 1935, Gloria lived a full and vibrant life dedicated to her family and her passions. Gloria was a woman whose heart overflowed with love, especially when she was in the kitchen cooking for her family. Her joy was found in taking care of those she loved, always ensuring everyone felt welcome and cherished in her home. She delighted in any occasion that brought her family together, creating countless memories filled with laughter and warmth. An avid lover of the outdoors, Gloria spent many happy hours tending to her vegetable and flower gardens, finding peace and fulfillment in nature's beauty. Her green thumb and nurturing spirit were evident in the blooming flowers and bountiful harvests she cultivated year after year. Gloria was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Theodore "Ted" Freeman; her daughter, Tina Ann Freeman; her son, Richard Freeman; and her parents, Norman and Mable Lane. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her surviving children: Tommy Freeman, Susan Freeman Cunningham and her husband Russell, and Matthew Freeman and his wife Bonnie. Gloria will be dearly missed by her daughter-in-law, Paula Freeman. Her memory will also live on through her cherished grandchildren, Amanda Freeman, Melissa Freeman, Shane Freeman, Aaron Freeman and his wife Brittany, Alanah Freeman, Alisa Wyant and her husband Matt, Sarah Freeman, Cory Cunningham and his wife Katie, and Chad Cunningham and his wife Ashlee. Gloria's great-grandchildren, Luke, Austin, Kaitlyn, Troy, Cole, Owen, Lyla, Gavin, Riley, Jude, and Harlee, will forever hold her love in their hearts. She is also survived by her sister, Debbie Lane, and many nieces and nephews who adored her. The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to Gloria's Benton House family for the kindness and care they extended to her over the years. Funeral services to celebrate Gloria's life will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 2 o'clock in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at Parrott Funeral Home and Crematory. Gloria Lane Freeman's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
