Judith Ann Ruzycki

Judith R. Ruzycki, age 79, of Jackson, GA, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin, GA. Born on February 19, 1946, in Meriden, CT, Judy was the beloved daughter of George Robinson and Mary Maier Robinson. While raising her family, she earned a master’s degree in education and dedicated her career to exceptional education, teaching at Woodbury High School and the Roosevelt Outdoor Therapeutic Program in Pine Mountain until her retirement. Her passion for learning never faded, and she continued to give her time as a volunteer at Park Elementary in Hamilton, GA. Affectionately known as Mom, Skippy, Chief Judy, and The Rock, she was most lovingly called Nana by her grandchildren. Nana treasured her grandsons, cherished holiday crafts, and found joy cheering with Buda from the sidelines at their sporting events. She built priceless family memories—beach trips, ‘Round House’ Christmases, and countless everyday moments that will forever be held close. Nana was an extraordinary listener and the embodiment of kindness, patience, and thoughtfulness. She was creative, organized, and deeply reflective. Judy loved the sun, tending her garden, trips to the beach, and reading avidly. After the passing of her devoted husband, Frank, she found new community and friendship at Somerby, Peachtree City, where she embraced life fully—enjoying water aerobics, cornhole, excursions, theater outings, bean bag baseball, and happy hour. Judy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank Ruzycki (Buda), and her brother Chris Robinson. She is survived by her daughters, Jill (Richard) Cook of Peachtree City, GA, and Jenny (Rick) McKibben of Jackson, GA; her cherished grandchildren, Jay McKibben, Ross (Kassie) McKibben, Connor Cook, and Cason Cook; her brother, Mark (Judy) Robinson; and several nieces and nephews. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
