Lillie Mae Baker Mills

Lillie Mae Baker Mills, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, entered into eternal rest on July 26, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on May 24, 1932, she lived a life marked by devotion, compassion, and unwavering strength. Lille Mae was a woman of remarkable qualities. Her dedication to her family was evident in every facet of her life. She was especially devoted to her grandson, Nicholas, and never missed any of his games or practices, a testament to her supportive nature and loving spirit. Her daughter often regarded her as a hero, for she embodied bravery and kindness in all her actions. Lillie was an excellent southern cook, delighting her family with delicious meals often. Throughout her career, Lille Mae demonstrated a tireless work ethic, serving as Head Teller with Food Giant, which later became Big Apple Food Giant, and lending her talent to the Fairburn Banking Company. Despite her demanding professional life, she found joy in nurturing the world around her. She had a passion for gardening, tending to both vegetables and flowers with the same care and attention she gave to her family and friends. An active member of her church choir, Lille Mae's love of music was expressed through her singing and piano playing. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, providing her with strength and guidance. In addition to her loving nature, Lille Mae was known for her compassion toward animals and her commitment to helping others. She was always there to care for her siblings and parents, showcasing her selflessness and devotion. Lille Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Claude Clarence and Flora Maybelle Baker, beloved husband, Robert "Bobby" Lane Mills, and her siblings, David Baker, Everett Baker, Earnest J. Baker, Virgil Lee Baker, and Henrietta Smith. She leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience, carried on by her daughter, Robbie Lockridge (James), her cherished grandson, Nicholas Lockridge (Erin), and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to honor Lille Mae's life on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 11 o'clock in the morning in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service. Pastor Joe Stephens will officiate, with Mr. Roger Mohlenhoff giving the eulogy. Interment will follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange, GA. Lille Mae Baker Mills will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and enduring love. Her memory will continue to inspire all who knew her.
