Melanie Hart Byerly

Melanie Hart Byerly, 45, of Tyrone, GA, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2024. Born on March 26, 1979, in Decatur, GA. She touched the lives of everyone around her with warmth and kindness. She is survived by her beloved children, Logan “Bear” Byerly and McKay “KK Grace” Byerly, who were the light of her life. Melanie’s devoted parents, Charles David and Kay Hart. Her loving sister, Natalie Lopez along with her husband, Matt, and their children, C.J., Alex, Kaylee, Mia, and Lola. She was also deeply loved by her vast extended family. Melanie had a heart for service and lived her life helping others. Her career path included teaching at Christ Our Shepherd Preschool, serving as a Patient Caregiver at Heritage Assisted Living, and transporting patients at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. Her selfless spirit and kindness leave a legacy that will continue to inspire us. Children held a special place in Melanie’s heart. She was a second mom to her niece and nephew as they grew up and she cared for many of her friends’ children, loving them all as her own. Melanie’s greatest joy was spending time with her loved ones. She loved the outdoors. Some of her favorite vacations included the mountains and hiking. Mel enjoyed going on trips with the Byerly family and visiting the National Parks, her most favorite being Glacier National Park. Melanie had a remarkable ability to bring joy to those around her. Her hilarious sense of humor, contagious laugh, and radiant smile made her a source of happiness for family and friends alike. Melanie will forever remain in our hearts. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering love for God and her family, and the joy she brought into the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. The family invites friends to join them in remembrance and to share their condolences on Sunday, November 17, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Parrott Funeral Home and Crematory. A Memorial Service celebrating Melanie's life will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 1:00 PM, at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, officiated by Pastor Fritz Wiese.
