Michael Daren Lamb

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Daren Lamb, affectionately known as Daren, who departed this world on November 27, 2024, at the age of 52. Born on January 28, 1972, in Newnan, Georgia, Daren lived a life marked by love, friendship, and dedication. Daren was a proud alumnus of the University of Georgia, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Economics. His love for the Bulldogs was evident in his enthusiastic support for all University of Georgia sports events. Professionally, Daren served as an accountant for Yamaha, where he was respected for his diligence and integrity. Beyond his career, Daren was a man of many passions. He cherished the North Georgia mountains, finding solace in hiking, hunting, and fishing. Panama City Beach held a special place in his heart, often described as "his beach." Daren also enjoyed bird watching and was an avid history buff. Music was a constant companion in his life, with Johnny Cash being his favorite artist, reflecting his eclectic taste and tender heart. Daren's life was defined by his deep love for his family. He was a devoted husband to Sandra Lamb, with whom he shared 19 wonderful years, and a loving father to his son, John Lamb. His parents, Kirby and Janice Lamb, survive him, along with his sister, Stacey Cook, and her husband, Paul. Daren was a beloved uncle to his nieces, Caroline Gray (Logan) and Rachel Burgess (Austin), and a great-uncle to AJ Burgess and Jack Burgess. Preceding Daren in death were his grandparents, Gartrell and Doris Spinks and JB and Clara Lamb, whose memories he cherished dearly. Daren's life was a testament to his strong faith in Jesus and God. He was an amazing friend, father, and husband, known for his gentle spirit and unwavering compassion. A service to celebrate Daren's life will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 11 o'clock at Peachtree City Christian Church, officiated by Dr. George Dillard and Brad Dillard. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the church. The family asks that everyone attending the funeral wear Georgia Bulldog attire and colors. In remembrance of Daren, let us carry forward his legacy of kindness, love, and faith. He will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
