Ralph Wilson Ferguson

Ralph Wilson Ferguson, Jr., age 82, passed away on April 15, 2026, fittingly on tax day, as if to remind us all of his accounting roots one last time. Born on April 8, 1944, in Atlanta, GA, Ralph grew up in Nebraska where his father served in the United States Air Force and his mother was a homemaker. Ralph proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was drafted in 1965 and was honorably discharged in 1969. During his service, he was stationed in Germany and served as a linguist. After his military service he returned to Georgia where he continued his studies at Georgia State University. Ralph built a commendable career in the field of finance and accounting. He served as Vice President at Peachtree National Bank, worked as an accountant at Oddo Brothers, and eventually established his own successful business, RF Business Solutions LLC. His professional life was marked by integrity, dedication, and a commitment to excellence, which earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike. Beyond his professional endeavors, Ralph was passionately involved in his community. He was an active member of the Peachtree City United Methodist Church where he led a large divorce care group. While working for Peachtree National Bank, Ralph was a member of the Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, and Kiwanis Club. Additionally, he was a member of Keep Fayette Beautiful along with PFLAG where he advocated for equality. Ralph had a zest for life that was evident in his hobbies and social activities. He was an enthusiastic participant in local theater productions in Fayetteville, loved spending evenings singing karaoke and dancing, and cherished the time spent with his friends. Ralph was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Ralph Wilson Ferguson, Sr. and Doris Waldron Ferguson along with youngest sister, Vicki Ferguson Anding. He is survived by his cherished children, Courtney Colwell (David), Seth Friday (Jessica), Justin Ferguson, and Megan Ferguson; his adored grandchildren, Grace and Olivia Colwell and Nathan and Annie Friday; his siblings, Karen Wells, Randy Ferguson (Ann) and Debbi Ferguson; his brother in law, David Carr (April); as well as many nieces and nephews. Ralph's legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will endure in the hearts of his family and friends. Ralph’s memorial will be held at 4:00 on May 2, 2026 at Coweta Veterans Club. Karaoke and dancing will follow at 6:00.
