Ronald Eddie Epps

Ronald Eddie Epps, born March 27, 1957, in Greenville, South Carolina, passed away on March 9, 2026, at the age of 68. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, truly family to many. Ronald was the beloved son of the late Norman and Joyce Epps. He dedicated many years of his career to Tull Metals and Yamaha, working with diligence, integrity, and pride. He is survived by his loving wife, Andrea Epps, who stood by his side through 37 blessed years together. Ronald was the cherished father of Jeremy Ronald Epps; Alison Epps-Halm and her husband, Nathan Halm; and Virginia Acker and her husband, Doyle. He was the proud grandfather of Chevy and Knox Acker. He is also survived by a brother, a sister in law, three nephews, his brother in law Jay Malone and his wife Jenny, and his beloved niece Janna Malone, along with many dear cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who were like family. He was preceded in death by his brother James Epps and his beloved dog Jackson, who he will be buried with. Ronald and his family attended Dogwood Church in Tyrone. He was a man of deep faith, who believed in Jesus and lived a life full of grace. A truly Godly man, Ronald exemplified patience, kindness, and goodness in all he did. Ronald was passionate about taking care of business, a value he carried into every part of his life. As a young man, he earned his Life Scout badge, and his adventures with the troop gave him stories he loved to share, such as hiking the Appalachian Trail. He grew up on a farm, where he developed a love for the outdoors and spent many days riding dirt bikes across his parents’ land. If something needed fixing, Ron would try and more often than not, he got the job done. He also had a deep love of travel, visiting 48 of the 50 states, and shared that passion with his daughter Ali. He cherished the many trips they took together with her husband Nate, who he considered a bonus son, creating lasting memories. Ronald was an animal lover with a special place in his heart for his dogs Teddy and Chica. He adored his grand kitties Indigo, Magnolia, and Blooper, who brought him so much joy. He loved the simple pleasures in life, especially strolling along the beach with his wife’s hand in his or spending time fishing, moments that brought him peace and happiness. Ron was also a barbecue king, able to grill anything to perfection, and sharing those meals with family and friends was one of his greatest joys. Music brought him great joy and truly lit up his world. His taste ranged from Billy Strings to his all time favorites, The Marshall Tucker Band and the Eagles, with all genres in between. His love of gospel music was just as wide ranging, from Alan Jackson to Switchfoot. And of course, his Dawgs. Ron was a devoted Georgia Bulldogs fan. Fall was for football and every plan revolved around the Georgia football schedule. One of his favorite Christmas gifts this past year was a four foot inflatable Georgia Bulldog helmet. That same enthusiasm carried over to NASCAR. One of his greatest adventures was driving a race car at Atlanta Motor Speedway. He was truly our speed racer. No sports conversation would be complete without mentioning his love for the Braves. Chop on! Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Dogwood Church, with Pastor Jody Padgett officiating. Interment will follow at College Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Ronald’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for his family and friends will be deeply missed. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
