Alice Suzanne Jackson Temples Kelly

July 1, 1926 - March 14, 2022

Dr. (Alice) Suzanne Jackson Temples Kelly was born July 1, 1926 in New Brighton, PA and passed away Monday, March 14, 2022. Suzanne received her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 1948 from the College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. She set up her own practice in New Brighton, PA which she ran successfully for 12 years until she moved to Virginia. Suzanne married Ralph B. Temples in 1952. They relocated to Falls Church, VA and in 1963 moved to Homestead, FL with their three children. Her husband, Ralph, passed away in 1967. She then became a substitute teacher which allowed her the flexibility to raise her three young children. In 1986, Suzanne married Charles W. Kelly. In 2001, Charles passed away. In 2007, Suzanne relocated to Peachtree City, GA. Suzanne will always be remembered for her incredible wit and “Suzanneisms.” She was an active member in the community serving on various boards and organizations. Her involvement was in the areas of her church, education, and medicine. She had quite the love for all types of water and in particular loved sailing. She loved to travel, but her 40-year tradition of vacationing with family and extended family at Ft. Myers Beach, FL was her favorite. Suzanne had a sense of adventure and was always up for a party. Devotion to family and country was very evident to all who knew Suzanne. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph B. Temples; second husband, Charles W. Kelly; and sister, Marilyn Jae Jackson. She is survived by her son, Price D. Temples (Leslie), of Pennsylvania; daughters, Jaye Ellen T. Keenan (Tom) of Peachtree City, GA, Michelle T. Eden (James) of Sharpsburg, GA; step-daughter, Lana Phelps; grandchildren, Andrew Eden (Lauren), Philip Keenan (Mindy), Seth Eden (Emily), Jared Keenan (Carly), Brooke Eden; step-grandchildren, Tammi Krevetz (Rob), Emily Padgett (Matt), Katie Falcone (Derek); great-grandchildren, Jackson & Daniel Keenan, Avery Eden; step-great-grandchildren, Savannah and Megan Krevetz, Tessa & Laurel Padgett, Whit & Theo Falcone; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Sara Barfield; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 10:30am at: The Welcome Center Chapel in Christian City 7345 Red Oak Road, Union City, GA Luncheon to follow at the Recreation Center on the Christian City campus. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in her memory to The Fayette Pregnancy Resource Center; Christian City; or your charity/ministry of choice.
