Mr. Allen Rice

August 16, 1942 - May 3, 2022

Mr. Allen Rice born on August 16, 1941, passed away on May 3, 2022, he was 80 years old. Mr. Rice was from Virgilina, Virginia, to the late Clarence and Morine Rice. He is survived by two children, Keith and Alena, one sister, Iris Rice Murray and brother in law, William Murray. Along with his two children, he had seven grandchildren, Nicholas, CJ, Rebecca, Matthew, Zachary, Isabella and Noah, they were the joy of his life. He was preceded by the love of his life, Elsie Dupaquier. In spring of 1972 he moved to Atlanta, GA after getting off an airplane and noticed the dogwoods had started blooming. Mr. Rice was a self-made man by opening his first pawn shop in Atlanta in 1980, and opened two more thereafter. He also was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and would never missed a Nascar Race on Sunday. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all that knew him. The family of Mr. Rice will receive friends at Parrott Funeral Home this Friday, May 6, 2022, from 7:00 until 9:00.
