Charles Cantrell Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. Charles Sewell Cantrell, age 82, of Union City, GA passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021. Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He dedicated much of his time in his younger years to investing in young men as “Coach Cantrell” at Duncan Park. Charles knew everything there was to know about his beloved Alabama Crimson Tide and delighted in sharing his knowledge with everyone! He took great pride in his family and his greatest pleasure was gathering with them every Saturday to yell “Roll Tide!” He is preceded in death by his son, Charles Bryan Cantrell; grandson, Eli Dean; and 11 siblings. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Diane Cantrell of Union City, GA; daughters, Pam LeVaughn (Johnny) of Fayetteville, GA, Deana Thompson (Jimmy) of Elijay, GA; daughter-in-law, Julie Cantrell; grandchildren, Evan Dean (Sarah), Erin Boze (Dustin), Taylor Roth (Matthew), Morgan Stanton (Joel); great-grandchildren, Kap Boze, Maryblake Boze, Annie Dean and Ross Stanton. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 11 o’clock at the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home with Pastor Alan Dotson officiating.
