Elizabeth “Betsy” Copeland ~ December 15, 1940 – March 14, 2022 Elizabeth Ethelyn Baldwin Copeland (Betsy) passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Sacred Journey Hospice in Newnan, GA on Monday, March 14, 2022. She was born in Atlanta, GA on December 15, 1940. She graduated from Brown High School in 1958. She married Edwin W. Copeland, Jr. in 1960 and they had three children, Edwin W. “Tripp” Copeland, III (Holly), Peggie Lee Copeland (Tim Boyer) and Robert “Bobby” Copeland (deceased) and lived for many years in Cliftondale, GA. They also had six grandchildren, Wynn, Parks, Mae, Stuart, Nell Copeland and Timothy Dean “Tripp” Boyer, III. She enjoyed being a homemaker for many years. Betsy began working for Delta Airlines in corporate security and at 48 years of age transitioned to flight attendant. Betsy was proud of her time at Delta and enjoyed meeting people and traveling the world. Betsy had many hobbies such as sewing, photography, baking/cooking, scrapbooking, traveling with friends and attending all grandchildren activities. She will be remembered to all as a kind, loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, friend and faithful servant. Her beauty and spirit will remain with us and we will be forever grateful to have had her in our lives.
