Mr. Gerald Lenox

Mr. Gerald Lenox, 89, of Sharpsburg, passed away Monday, November 8, 2021. He was born January 6, 1932, in New Albany, Pennsylvania, son of the late Alvah and Pearl Lenox. Mr. Lenox was an active member of Cokes Chapel United Methodist Church in Sharpsburg, where he taught Sunday school and discipleship, and also served as an usher and several church committees. He was a graduate of the University of North Texas with a MBA, and while there he met the love of his life and wife of 65 years, Delores Hines Lenox of Sharpsburg. Mr. Lenox retired from Westinghouse as a Plant Superintendent, He was a member of the West Point Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons for over 50 years, and served several times as Worshipful Master. Mr. Lenox was also a member of the LaGrange Lions Club, and was very active in the Boy Scouts. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean War. Mr. Lenox loved spending time with his family and enjoyed baseball and boxing. Survivors in addition to his wife, include two sons and a daughter-in-law, J. Russell Lenox of Hapeville, and Mark and Laura Lenox of Tyrone; daughter, Karen Walburn of Grantville; grandchildren and their spouses, Erin Quattrochi (Austin), Philip Lenox, Jack Lenox, Jennifer Slade (J.D.) and Bryce Walburn; great-grandchildren, Cooper Quattrochi and Camden Slade; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Mr. Gerald Lenox will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donation can be made in memory of Mr. Gerald Lenox to the American Heart Association - Heart.org
