Mr. Gerard Raymond O’Malley, age 97, of Sharpsburg, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020. He was born to the late Frank and Mary Ellen O’Malley on April 29, 1923. Mr. O’Malley was a United States Army Veteran, serving during World War II landing on Omaha Beach on D Day. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Louise Becsey O’Malley. He is survived by his daughters, Alexis Stephenson and her husband, David, Jacquelynn “Jacque” Wiggins, Roxanne DeJames and her partner, Jayne Warbinton, Mauvorneen “Mo” Durden; sons, Patrick O’Malley, Dan O’Malley and his wife, GayMarie; 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 10 o’clock in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home with Father Kevin Hargaden officiating.
