Joseph Gayle

Joseph Marshall Gayle, 44, died at his home in Newnan, GA, on May 9th, 2022. He never fully recovered from an extended hospitalization for COVID last year. He was born on June 18th, 1977, in Richmond, VA, to Clyde J. and Ok Cha (Chong) Gayle. He was employed for 16 years as a Revenue Agent for the IRS. He was a 1995 graduate of McIntosh High School, and received BBA and MBA degrees in accounting from Georgia State University. Joe was a quiet man with a big and giving heart. Joe was a self-taught handyman and never hesitated to help others. He would tackle all kinds of projects with enthusiasm, no matter what level of difficulty they presented. He married Colleen, the love of his life, in 2011. In 2017 his daughter, Katie, was born. She was his ray of sunshine. Joe was an avid bee keeper, enjoyed the outdoors, loved to cook, and his favorite vacation destination was Disney. He was a loving and committed son, husband, and father. He is survived by his wife, Colleen Katherine (Gould) Gayle, his daughter, Katherine Anne Gayle (4), his parents, his uncle, Bruce Randall Gayle (Jayne), his grandmother, Lena Mildred (Lamb) Gayle, his in laws, Steven and Mary Gould, brother-in-law Glenn Gould, sister-in-law Claire Torchia, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Leigh Anne Gayle. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. A funeral service will be held Monday, May 16, 2022 at 11 o'clock in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home with Dr. Josh Saefkow officiating. Interment will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Parrott Funeral Home & Crematory, 770-964-4800.
