Joyce Adams

Mrs. Joyce Adams, 86, of Fayetteville, Georgia, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020. She was born August 21, 1934, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, daughter of the late David Lingerfelt and Clarice Eskew Lingerfelt. Mrs. Adams was a member of Fayetteville Christian Church in Fayetteville, GA, where she was a member of the choir and the Pathfinders Sunday School Class. She was a seamstress all of her life. Mrs. Adams loved to sing and cross-stitch. Survivors include her husband, Merrill Adams of Fayetteville; three sons, Kevin Adams (Darlene), Wesley Adams (Chandra) and Jeffrey Adams. Six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; brother, Larry Lingerfelt (Evelyn) of Fayetteville; Alice Lingerfelt of Douglasville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Terry Adams and a brother, Donald Lingerfelt. The funeral service for Mrs. Joyce Adams will be held at 1:00, Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at Fayetteville Christian Church,114 Hickory Road, Fayetteville, GA 30214, with Pastor Dan Roberts and Pastor Andrew Higle officiating. Interment will be at Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City, GA. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 until 1:00 before the service.
