Robert "Tony" Nixon

Mr. Robert Anthony “Tony” Nixon, age 72, of Fairburn, GA passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2022. He joined the Army in 1969 and served through 1970, after honorary discharging he joined the Atlanta Police Department in 1972. In 1975 Fulton County began a county police force which he joined and served until 2000 when he retired. Tony was an avid collector of anything. He also enjoyed muscle cars and going to car shows. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Dennye Nixon; and brother-in-law, Bobby Hollis. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Pat Nixon; daughters, Micki Welch (Stacey) of McDonough, GA, Kristi Hill (Tony) of McDonough, Jennifer Blackstock (Steven) of Newnan, GA, Jessica Griffin (Adam) of Newnan, GA; son, Jeremy Miller (Mindy) of Senoia, GA; sister, Becky Hollis; grandchildren, Jesse Welch (Courtney), Emma Welch, Abby Cleghorn (Ross), Chloe Welch, Tucker Blackstock, Garrett Blackstock, Jake Hill, Dinah Welch, Whitney Welch, Ella Miller, Clay Blackstock, Miles Miller, Cole Denton, Jack Denton and Dylan Miller. A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 2 o’clock at the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park.
