Mr. Thomas Ray "Tim" Scott

Mr. Thomas Ray “Tim” Scott, 96, of Sharpsburg, passed away, Saturday, April 30, 2022. He was born August 22, 1925, in College Park, son of the late Samuel Thomas Scott and Elene Carson Scott, and was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Mary Kathryn Wallace Scott. Tim loved the Lord and was a member of First Christian Church of Tyrone, where he served as a deacon for 58 years. He formerly served on the Christian City Children’s Board, and was a veteran of the US Navy. Tim was a very kind, loving gentleman who loved people. He enjoyed listening to music, fishing and woodworking. Survivors include his three sons, Tommy Scott, Terry Scott (Donna) all of Sharpsburg, and Gary Scott (Cathy) of Senoia, grandchildren, Adam Scott, Matthew Scott (Christen), Josh Scott, and Shannon Poteet (Travis), great-grandchildren, Alana, Avery, and Abby, sister, Gail Scott of Sharpsburg. The funeral service for Mr. Thomas Ray “Tim” Scott will be held at 11:00, Thursday, May 5, 2022, at First Christian Church of Tyrone with Minister Billy Rowe and Minister Gary Boyd officiating. Interment will follow at College Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Parrott Funeral Home this (Wednesday) from 6:00 until 8:00.
