William "Bill" Thornton

Mr. William "Bill" Thornton, age 73, of Fayetteville, passed away May 13, 2022. He was born August 14, 1948 to the late William C. and Margaret O’Hara Thornton. He is survived by his wife, Carol Ann Gresham Thornton; his son, William Christopher “Chris” Thornton and his wife, April; grandchildren, Savannah Thornton, Benjamin Thornton; brother, John Thornton and his wife, Melanie. A funeral mass will be held Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 11 o’clock at St. Matthew Catholic Church with Father Kevin Hargaden, principal celebrant. The rosary will be said prior to the service at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
