Evelyn Louise Dailey Fountain, born on April 1, 1941, passed away on May 27, 2026, at the age of 85. Her life was a testament to faith, dedication, and the power of love. Evelyn spent her career serving others, both in her professional life and through her personal passions. She drove a school bus for Fulton County Schools for 21 years, ensuring the safety and well-being of countless children. She also dedicated eight years to social work at Sky Ranch, where her compassionate spirit uplifted those in need. Her heart was always inclined towards praise and worship, and she devoted much of her time to serving her church community. A long-time member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Evelyn taught Sunday School for many years, inspiring others with her deep faith and love for the Lord. Her spiritual journey began early; she was baptized at 13 in a creek and later reaffirmed her commitment with a rebaptism at her cherished church. Evelyn's legacy is one of love and devotion. She was married to her beloved husband, Gene Fountain, with whom she shared nearly 70 years of marriage—a union that would have reached its milestone anniversary on September 1. Together, they built a family rooted in faith and unity. She is survived by her husband Gene; her children, Terry Fountain (Donna), Robyn Dawkins (Mike), Vicky Johnson (Scott), and Chris Fountain (Suzi); her grandchildren, Charles Fountain, Taylor Johnson (Savannah), and Scotty Johnson (Alexis); and her great-grandchildren, Hunter Fountain, Krystina Johnson, Jaxsyn Johnson, Jamisyn Johnson, and Blakely Johnson. Evelyn was preceded in death by her loving parents, Carlton Henry and Viola Valley Dailey; granddaughter Bridgette Dawkins. Her life leaves a mark on all who knew her, guided by her advice: "Have a real relationship with God so you can go to heaven," and "Everyone can have an active relationship with our heavenly father." The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Parrott Funeral Home. Funeral services for Evelyn will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at 2 o’clock in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home, officiated by Woody Holmes with interment following at Holly Hill Memorial Park.
