Born on April 2, 1940, in Atlanta, GA, Martha's life was a testament to love, faith, and unwavering dedication to her family and community. Meeting her future husband, Gene Holbrook, at just 11 years old at Grant Park Baptist Church, their love blossomed into a beautiful partnership that lasted a remarkable 67 years. They were wed in the same church on February 20, 1959. Together, they built a family rooted in love and compassion, adopting two wonderful children and nurturing them with unwavering support and care. Martha's heart was as expansive as her talents in the kitchen, where she was renowned for being an amazing cook and baker. Her culinary skills were rivaled only by her role as a homemaker, tirelessly ensuring that her family felt loved and cared for at all times. Family was the cornerstone of Martha’s life; she not only raised her own children but also helped to raise her siblings, providing them with guidance and love akin to a second mother. For 37 years, Martha faithfully attended the First Baptist Church of Senoia, a place where she truly embodied her devotion to Jesus. Whether singing in the choir, serving in the children's department, or being the supportive wife of a deacon, her commitment to her faith set an inspiring example of how to live with purpose and joy. Throughout her years in Senoia, Martha formed a cherished friendship with MaryNell, a connection that became a delightful chapter in her life filled with shared laughter and adventures. Those who knew Martha remember her not only for her motherly warmth and kindness but also for her strength and indomitable spirit. Preceded in death by her parents, Ireland Clinton and Mildred Baker; her beloved son, Mark Christopher Holbrook, and dear sisters, Penny Hudgins and Babs Wood, Martha's legacy lives on through her surviving family: her devoted husband Gene Holbrook; daughter Michele Bradberry and her husband Michael; daughter in-law, Leeann Holbrook; cherished grandchildren Dustin Fuller and his wife Kelly, Josh Royals, Heath Petree; and great-grandson Hunter Fuller. She is also survived by her brothers Olen Smith and his wife Judy, Wesley Smith; Andrea Holbrook, a beloved niece who was like a daughter to her, and many nieces and nephews who will continue to hold her memory close to their hearts. A service celebrating Martha’s wonderful life will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 2 o'clock at the First Baptist Church of Senoia, with visitation beginning one hour prior. She will be laid to rest at Senoia City Cemetery, under the guidance and prayers of Pastor B.J. Cobb.
