Timothy (Tim) Herring

Mr. Timothy (Tim) Herring, age 64, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014.He was a graduate of Auburn University, University of Northern Colorado and Georgia Law School. He was a member of the Trial Lawyers Association and a founding member of the band Strung Jury. His greatest loves were God, family and when Auburn beats Alabama WAR EAGLE! He was preceded in death by his parents, Hal and Virginia Herring; father and mother in-law, Joe and Kay Miller; paternal grandparents, Talbot and Emily Herring; maternal grandparents, Kate and Wiley Wall; brother in-law, Robert Lee Ward, Sr.; niece, Lamar Herring; aunts and uncles, Ralph and Lola Herring, Clyde and Sarah Herring. He is survived by his wife of 26 years Patricia (Patti) Herring of Palmetto; daughter, Katie Herring of Arlington, VA; son, Hal Herring of Palmetto; sisters, Helen Ward Copeland and her husband Ellis of Cumming, Hilda Harding and her husband Keith of Carlsbad, CA, Hala Carlton and her husband Christopher of Denver, CO; brother, Tory Herring and his wife Cindy of Birmingham, AL; sister in-law, Ann Downs and her husband Phil of Shelby, OH; brother in-law, Charles Miller and his wife Sherri of Cincinnati, OH; nephews, Shane Herring, Robert Lee Ward, Jr. and his wife Amelia, Chase Gee, Shawn Carlton, Jeff Downs and his wife Ashley and their children Nolan and Oliver, Brad Downs and his wife Angie; nieces, Jennifer Encinas and her husband Carlos and their son Shea, Emily Price and her husband Robert and their children Thomas and Helena; Kathryn Carlton; Savannah Carlton, Christina Downs; several cousins from Mobile, AL and Columbus, GA. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 2 o’clock in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home with Chaplain Robert Lawrence officiating.
